Unusual “Oracle Art” Spruces up old Theater

Yesterday was so much fun, getting some of the amazing Oracle Artwork from the upcoming Oracle Deck by my father displayed in the very unusual setting of the Madrid, NM old “Engine House Theatre and Museum.” The “Absinthe Plays,” as a part of Joe West’s Theatre of Death is a perfect match for this work.

Well, it IS almost Halloween, after all, and the dust, spider webs and holes in the old theatre walls put me right in the spirit of the season! How fun it really is to see my dad’s incredible and very under-exposed oracle work on display for theatre crowds to see and enjoy. The prints turned out so great.

As actors and other people behind the scenes came in and out of the theatre space yesterday the effect the art had on them was palpable. I remembered why art is so important in this world. Good art transports a person.

So another good thing that has come out of this project is the artwork used for the show is now prepped for prints, and can be purchased by anyone in the anacortez.com shop. I was able to work out pricing I think you’ll agree is pretty amazing, not to mention free shipping for U.S. as an initial offer.

Oh, and if you want to be notified of when this whole beautiful deck of artwork for divination is available, make sure you are on the email list. If you’re not sure, email me at ana@anacortez.com and I’ll make sure you’re on. 🙂
